Ucluelet

Ucluelet — 'Ukee' to everyone who loves it — guards the western entrance of Barkley Sound, where the Wild Pacific Trail winds along the rocks and the open ocean starts in earnest.

The waters off Ucluelet are a marine highway: gray whales hug this coast on their 16,000 km migration every spring, humpbacks feed along the offshore banks all summer, and the Broken Group Islands sit just inside the Sound's entrance. Our whale watching and combo tours regularly work this water.

Staying in Ucluelet? Meet us in Port Alberni — it's a beautiful 1-hour drive up Highway 4 past Kennedy Lake — or ask about custom pick-up options for group charters when scheduling allows.
