The Alberni Inlet is Vancouver Island's longest fjord — 40 kilometres of steep timbered walls, waterfalls and hidden coves between Port Alberni and the open Pacific.
This relaxed cruise follows the historic freight-boat route down to Bamfield, a boardwalk fishing village reachable only by boat or logging road. Watch for black bears flipping rocks on the tide line, then stretch your legs on the boardwalk and grab lunch before the run home.
